Pricing & booking
How much does a rehearsal studio in Montreal cost at NOW?
Our four rooms rent by the hour: $25/h for Studios 304 and 303, $28/h for 302 and $30/h for 301. Every booking is a 3-hour minimum, so a 3-hour block is $75 (304 or 303), $84 (302) or $90 (301). Are taxes included?
Yes! All our prices include taxes: the price you see is the price you pay.
Is there a minimum booking?
All sessions are 3 hours, in every room (there are no more 2-hour sessions). You can add an extra hour when you book.
How do I book an hourly rehearsal room?
Go to the Studios page (www.nowstudio.co/studiosmtl), pick your room and hit "Book Now". Choose your date and time in the online calendar and pay when you book. A phone number is required.
Can I cancel or reschedule?
Yes. If you cancel more than 48 hours (2 days) before your booking, you get a full refund. If you cancel within 48 hours of your booking, you get a credit or can reschedule your session instead. Our booking system lets you cancel or reschedule your booking yourself.

What's included in the room?
Every room comes with a full backline and PA: guitar amps, a bass amp, a drum kit, a mixer, speakers and Shure SM58 mics. Come in, plug in, and play.
Studio 301 – The Maestro: Orange CR120, Framus Dragon 100W and Marshall Plexi (each with a Marshall 4x12), Vox Beatle and Vox AC30; SWR 400W 2x15 bass combo; Ludwig kit (2 toms, snare, cymbals); Behringer 10-channel mixer, 4 Yamaha DBR15, 6 SM58.
Studio 302 – The Sunset Room: Traynor YGL1 2x12, Fender Bassman 6x10, Fender Reverb Jazz 2x12; Ashdown 300W 1x15 + Ashdown 4x10 cab; Fibes kit (3 toms, snare, no cymbals: bring your own); Behringer mixer, 4 Yamaha DBR15, 6 SM58.
Studio 303 – The Aquarium: Fender Deluxe 85, DV Mark Frank Gambale 80W, Davoli 6x10, 2 Traynor Studio Mate combos; Behringer 300W with Crate 4x10; Westbury kit (2 toms, snare, 3 cymbals); Yamaha MG 8/2 FX mixer, Klark Teknik 31-band EQ, 2 Yamaha + 2 RCF speakers, 4 SM58.
Studio 304 – The Cats Club: Hughes & Kettner Attax 80, Lifco 630 head + 2x10 cab, Traynor Guitar Mate combo; bass head + Ampeg 1x15 cab; Tama kit (4 toms, snare, 3 cymbals); Behringer MX1604 mixer, Peavey 31-band EQ, 4 Yamaha DB15, 4 SM58.
Are cymbals included?
In 301, 303 and 304, yes: the drum kit comes with cymbals (3 cymbals in 303 and 304). In 302, the Fibes kit has no cymbals, so bring your own.
How many musicians fit in a room?
Studios 301 (570 sq ft) and 302 (540 sq ft) fit 12 people or more, ideal as a band practice room for bigger groups. Studio 303 (510 sq ft) fits up to 10 people and Studio 304 (470 sq ft) up to 8.
Are the rooms soundproofed?
Studios 301 and 302 are soundproofed. Studios 303 and 304 aren't soundproofed, but they have very good acoustic treatment, so the room sounds great and controlled.
Can we record during rehearsal?
Our rehearsal rooms are made for playing, so recording yourself during a rehearsal isn't really something we offer. The good news: we offer recording services separately. Email info@nowstudio.co to talk about it! For a pro live capture, there's also NOW Sessions: live performances filmed and recorded by our team in Studio 301.
Is there Wi-Fi?
Yes, high-speed internet in the studios.
Monthly rental
How does the monthly membership work?
Premium ($350/month): two 3-hour slots per week, day or night, in the premium studios (301 and 302).
Standard ($250/month): same idea, in the standard studios (303 and 304).
With Premium, you also get a free live session in the NOW Sessions room and one free guitar setup per year at NOW Shop.
Sign up with the "Sign Up" button on the Studios page (www.nowstudio.co/studiosmtl), then book your slots in the online calendar. Prices include taxes.
No commitment: you rent one month at a time.
Can I stop my monthly membership?
Yes, anytime: there's no commitment. You rent one month at a time; if you don't want to continue next month, just let us know and you won't pay for the next month.

Where can I jam in Montreal?
At NOW Studio in Montreal, a 10-minute bike ride from Mile End. Four fully equipped jam spaces in Montreal, by the hour or by the month.

How do I get there by transit?
About a 5-minute walk from REM Canora station; about a 10–15-minute walk from Outremont and Acadie metro stations; bus 160; 10-minute bike ride from Mile End.
Is there parking?
Yes, and it's free: park on site or on the street.

Can I rent the studio for a shoot?
Yes. Use the rooms as is or as a blank canvas with high-end gear, filming equipment, lights and a green screen: live video sessions, documented rehearsals, music videos and more. Email info@nowstudio.co.
Can I rent a room for a private event?
Yes! Studio 302 Sunset Room is made for private events: album launches, showcases, private parties. Private events aren't booked online: email us at info@nowstudio.co with your date, headcount and what you have in mind, and we'll get back to you with the details.
